In Spurs and and Newcastle, the Premier League has two of the teams most likely to let you down in an accumulator and while the odds favoured a home win, Alan Pardew and his team had the last laugh. And no-one played a bigger part than Tim Krul.

Loic Remy grabbed the winner to show that Joe Kinnear has done something of note on Tynesdie, but the man of the match award was easily sewn up by the Dutch shot-stopper.

He made 14 saves of note and while some of these can be put down to some terrible finishes from the goal-shy Spurs outfit, and some of them were right out of the top, top drawer. His save from the deflected free-kick in particular was one of the best we have seen all season.
