We’re sure that the poor girl responsible for this ‘shot’ let her hand slip at the crucial moment, but even if she did the end result was unbelievably bad.

Although shooting a free throw involves executing the most simple skill in basketball, they are not without pressure; everybody’s watching you after all and whether you score it or not could determine whether your team wins or loses by a single point.

Despite the pressure involved, there’s no excuse for a throw as bad as the effort by a player from the Georgia College women's basketball team during a 70-60 loss to Columbus State recently.

Like we said, we hope it was a case of her hand slipping at the crucial moment because surely that is the only fathomable reason why the ball would end up landing only a few yards in front of her after the most half-hearted effort at a throw you’ll ever see.

She won't forget about that one in a hurry.
