Bubble football isn’t a new phenomenon, but for some reason we are only after becoming aware of it now. Where has this majestic sport been all our lives?

One of the major complaints that sports fans – particularly those with an affinity for supposedly more manly sports like rugby or GAA – have with football in its current guise is that it’s not physical enough, that you can’t touch an opponent without them falling to the floor feigning injury.

Well in bubble football, not only is the physical element greatly increased but the risk of injury is greatly reduced because when you’re protected by a giant bubble, what can possibly go wrong? Well, you could turn on your ankle but you know what we mean.

You may well have seen it before and if you have you’ll probably agree that watching it never gets old. If you haven’t seen it before, like us, you’ll be wondering where it’s been all your life.

It’s easily the best football-related sport since this…
