Liverpool striker Luis Suarez again demonstrated why he is such a coveted player which a stunning free-kick against Spain in the Confederations Cup last night.

Uruguay went down 2-1 to Spain in their Group B clash in Recife, with first-half strikes from Perdro and Roberto Soldado enough to gain the three points, but the Liverpool man did pull one back with just two minutes left on the clock. And what a strike it was too.

The striker has of course been constantly linked with a summer move away from Merseyside having said that the English media is against him, with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich the leading contenders for his signature, and a strong performance at the tournament in Brazil will only add to his reported transfer value believed to be at least £40 million.

Controversial? Yes. A supremely gifted footballer? Most certainly.
