What were you doing on this day 20 years ago?
The World Cup resumes this evening with the semi-final meeting of Brazil vs Germany and JOE expects that most of the country will be glued to their TV screens. However, this time 20 years ago it seems that quite a lot of us were gathered in the Phoenix Park.
The reason?
Well, today marks the 20th anniversary of the Irish team's historical homecoming from USA '94. JOE was actually there that day and all we can remember is a massive sing-a-long to "Ooh Ahh Paul McGrath" and also that we were able to see Andy Townsend's glorious blond highlights from quite a distance back.
