Jim McGuinness, Alan Quinlan and a few other sporting heroes take part in the 'Who Would You Tell?' Campaign
By Adrian Collins
The taboo around mental health and depression is finally changing in Ireland, albeit a little slowly.
In the hope of accelerating that process and helping us to get talking about our issues, the students at I.T. Sligo have put together a great inspirational video to encourage Irish men to get talking, and it features some of the nation's best sports stars talking about who they'd confide their problems in.
Jim McGuinness makes an appearance, a man who certainly knows how important mentality is to success, as well as Connacht rug by star John Muldoon, Galway's Finian Hanley and Mayo corner-back Kevin Keane.
Jim McGuinness gives us his view on depression and suicide, saying “I know it's a big issue, my own community has been devastated by it in recent years”, showing it's not to be taken lightly.
Ireland and Connacht rugby star John Muldoon notes that it's crippling society, and it's an issue that's close to him since he's been personally affected by it.
Remember lads, you can always talk to someone. So, Who Would You Tell?
