Video: JOE gets ripped – Week 1

JOE, along with Optimum Nutrition, wanted to prove that not only could you get into shape in January, but actually get ripped like a movie star. This is the first week of a 12 week video challenge to do so.

We’re pretty much all the same in January; we make these New Year’s resolutions about going to the gym more and getting in shape after the invariable Christmas splurge, but rarely actually go through with it.

JOE, along with Optimum Nutrition, wanted to prove that not only could you get into shape in January, but actually get ripped like a movie star.

Taking Spin 103.8 DJ Brian Maher as our guinea pig, we enlisted the help of personal trainer Dan Smullen of The Fitness Dock gym, and set about getting Brian into not just good shape – but Men’s Health cover model shape. The plan is that anyone, with the right mix of diet, hard work and supplements, can get into truly incredible shape.

The video above is the first of a series of 12, chronicling the Brian’s trianing that week, what exactly he’s been eating as well as the Optimum Nutrition supplements he’ll be taking. Brian and Dan will also be writing a weekly blog going into more details about the training.
