Liverpool needed extra-time to get the better of League One outfit Notts County in the Capital One Cup at Anfield tonight but this solo effort from Jordan Henderson helped them over the line.
The Reds didn’t make life easy for themselves on their home patch, going two goals up through Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge in the first half only to see that lead cut out thanks to goals from and after the break.
Brendan Rodgers’ men finally completed the job in extra-time thanks to another goal from Sturridge and the icing on the cake from Jordan Henderson who cut through the middle of the Notts County defence, cheekily nutmegging the last defender before producing an assured finish.
