The NBA Finals is going to a seventh game decider after the Miami Heat snatched a dramatic victory in overtime against the San Antonio Spurs.
While LeBron came good after a sluggish start in the game – he finished with 32 points after missing nine of his first 12 shots – the hero of the hour was Ray Allen.
With 28 seconds left to play in the game, the Heat trailed 94-89 and LeBron soon hit a three pointer. The deficit was down to three when with five seconds remaining when Allen nailed a three pointer of his own to force the game into overtime.
James’ layup with 1:43 to play in overtime gave the Heat a 101-100 lead, and Allen added two free throws to force Game 7, which is on Thursday night in Miami. The Spurs had one final chance down 103-100, but Chris Bosh blocked Danny Green’s three pointer from the corner as time expired.
The decider on Thursday promises to be a cracker, and we know that LeBron is pretty confident of victory.
