Liverpool got off to the worst possible start against Zenit tonight, but a brilliant free-kick from Luis Suarez and a goal from Joe Allen restoring belief to give the Reds a 2-1 lead.

Zenit striker robbed the ball of Jamie Carragher to put the Russian side 3-0 on aggregate after just 19 minutes and it looked curtains for the Reds, but Suarez restored hope with a classy free-kick.
A second from Joe Allen has put Liverpool 2-1 up at the break and the crowd are sensing another glory night at Anfield.
