Video: Marathon record breaker upstaged by finish line crasher…

Kenya's Wilson Kipsang broke the men's marathon world record in Berlin yesterday, but not before being upstaged at the finish line by a right tool.

Kenya’s Wilson Kipsang broke the men’s marathon world record in Berlin yesterday, but not before being upstaged at the finish line by a right tool.

Wilson Kipsang managed to shave 15 seconds off the men’s marathon world record in Berlin yesterday, finishing in a time of 2hrs 3mins and 23secs.

However, Kipsang had the limelight stolen from him right before the finish line by some eejit who thought it would be hilarious to jump out of the crowd and break the ribbon first…

Thankfully, Kipsang didn’t seem to give a crap – in fairness, he just ran 42.195 kilometres in just over two hours, so he was probably dying for an awl sit down at that stage.

As for the eejit in question, we’re sure the event organisers sorted him out.
