The world-renowned Hollywood director Michael Bay has said he’s “embarrassed” after walking off stage during a Samsung news conference.

While the outspoken director didn’t quite issue an apology following the incident at CES2014 in Las Vegas, he did make it known that he’s absolutely bleedin’ morto. In a blog post on his site, Bay said: “Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES.”

Bay’s onstage meltdown occurred when he accidentally skipped ahead of some lines on the teleprompter and got lost, which obviously left him a little agitated and in need of a quick exit.

Instead of taking some improv inspiration from some of the great actors he has worked with, Bay simply said, “I’m sorry” before walking off to leave Samsung Executive Vice President Joe Stinziano to finish the presentation on his own.

“I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV”, Bay said in his blog post.

“I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar. I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off. I guess live shows aren’t my thing.”
