Shamarko Thomas is very fast, and he can take a fall pretty well too.

As part of the very convoluted NFL draft process, players are subjected to any number of tests, both physical and mental, at what is called the NFL Combine.

One of the most famous trials is the 40-yard dash. Post a good time and your draft stock, and potential earnings, will rise. Run slowly and you’re in trouble.

The good news for Syracuse safety Shamarko Thomas is that his 4.42 was the fastest by any safety at the Combine so far.

The bad news is that his epic tumble once he crossed the line means he is becoming internet famous for all the wrong reasons.
