He may not be available for Ireland today, but no matter, it's Seamus Coleman's 26th birthday and we thought we'd celebrate it by looking back at some of his best moments.

Without any further ado...

Class goal in his Sligo Rovers days

It was obvious from his League of Ireland days with Sligo that he was going to be a bit special. Here's some cold hard evidence as he scores a peach for Sligo against Bray.

Teasing Santi Cazorla

He's blessed with searing pace and has the skills to showboat too as he proved in a game against Arsenal last season. A couple of solos down the pitch and then an outrageous bit of trickery to make Santi Cazorla look like Santy Claus.

Super strike against Southampton

We love marauding full-backs and Coleman is one of the best in the game. This goal typifies what he's all about. First he shows scorching pace to stretch the opposing full-back, then lovely skill to get inside him and finally, power and accuracy as he unleashes an unstoppable rocket into the top corner. It's pure quality, unlike the video.

Quality against QPR

This goal against QPR is a goal any striker would be proud of. Running on to the ball at the edge of the box, rather than take a touch or put his laces right through it, Coleman hits it first time with the side of his foot and it just sails into the top corner. It's a goal of sublime technique.

A scorcher against Swansea

Coleman's goal away to Swansea last season is just a strike of pure raw venom. Collecting the ball on the right as he tends to do, he advances on goal and then just smashes the ball goalwards, leaving the keeper with no chance. He looked pretty pumped after scoring it too and went all Temur Ketsbaia as the advertising hoardings felt the force of his angry happiness.
