We love to see a bit of innovation on the football pitch, but we imagine this Austrian side won’t be trying this type of free-kick again in a hurry.

SC Weiz, one of Austria’s fourth division regional teams, are the side in question, and they took an unusual approach to the wall facing them. Instead of putting men at either end of the wall as is often the norm, they have two lads on their knees in front of the wall.
What they hoped to achieve is a little beyond us, but the ensuing kick is hilarious. Without spoiling it before you watch it, keep an eye on the reaction of the players. Not a fu** was given as the saying goes.
We are told the free took place back in October but has only surfaced in the past couple of days. And we are very grateful that it did!
