Somehow this escaped our attention until now, but it’s worth watching over and over and over again. And then once more for good luck.

Obviously we were, eh, so distracted by the riveting FA Cup replay clash between Fulham and Sheffield United on Tuesday night that we failed to recognise one of the goals of 2014 so far in the La Liga clash between Villarreal and Osasuna in El Madrigal. Osasuna lost 3-1 on the night but the goal did they get was a thing of beauty, with Oriol Riera latching onto a left-wing cross and sending a back-heeled lob over the ‘keeper and into the far corner with the most delicate of touches. As Andy Gray might say (in one of less chauvinistic moments) ‘Tik a boo son’. Video via YouTube/HDGoals13
