Shanghai Shenhua’s Wang Shouting managed to come up with a great way to deal with timewasters and a brilliant way to get himself sent off in one fell swoop earlier this week, when he tried to drag Matt McKay of Changchun Yatai off the pitch.
Believing that McKay was only trying to stall for time by faking injury, he grabs him by the scruff and escorts him from the pitch rather efficiently, but sees a second yellow for his trouble. A miraculous recovery from McKay once he’s been grabbed though.
On a slightly related note, we think Wang Shouting’s name (we know it’s not pronounced the way we want it to be, but still) is absolutely fantastic. If you have a better suggestion for a brilliant sporting name, tweet it into us on the hashtag #betterthanwang .
