Video: Podge Collins scored a dummying, jinking solo wonder goal for Cratloe’s footballers at the weekend

Oh the boy is good, real good...

Oh the boy is good, real good…

One of the dying breed of true dual stars, Podge Collins football exploits have been a little overshadowed thus far by his hurling career, coming as it does with the added dazzle of an All-Ireland medal.

But this clip, sent into us Thomas O’Connor shows just that Collins is just as good with the big ball as he is with the small. Playing for his club Cratloe against Eire Og in the Clare SFC, Collins slices his way through the opposition defence with huge amounts of style, sending the keeper the wrong way twice before finishing to the net.

The final score? Cratloe 2-12, Eire Og 1-12. Not just a very good goal then, but a very important one too…
