UEFA are bound to be interested in video footage of Porto fans taunting Mario Balotelli with monkey noises at the Estadio Dragao last night.
Balotelli complained to Manchester City officials about the racial abuse directed at him by fans of the Portuguese club last night, claims that were substantiated by teammate Yaya Toure and that resulted in City lodging an official complaint with UEFA today.
If UEFA are seeking evidence, they need look no further than the video above, where it is clearly evident that an idiotic section of the Porto support taunt Balotelli with disgraceful monkey noises when he wanders into their vicinity.
Thanks to evidence such as the video above, Porto are likely to face sanction from UEFA for the actions of their supporters and it will be interesting to see just how severe the penalties are considering that racism has become such a prevalent topic in football in recent times.
There’s certainly no hiding place for some of the Porto supporters caught on camera. I’m sure they’re all very proud of themselves.
