Despite taking a sickening knee to the head, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris refused to be substituted in the draw with Everton today.
The French goalkeeper was in fine form today, his save from Nathan Delfouneso in particular was top drawer, but his afternoon’s work appeared to be over in the final quarter when Romelu Lukaku collided with the shotstopper.
Lloris however refused to be substituted and decided to stay on the field of play and finished with a clean sheet to his name that sees Andre Villas-Boas’ side in fourth place in the table.
The goalkeeper’s attitude has been widely commended.
I assume the army is now looking at manufacturing its new tanks from whatever Hugo Lloris’s head is made of.
