After spending the best part of a year out with injury, Setanta O hAilpin showed he still had it with five goals for GWS in the AFL.

An ACL injury is about as bad an injury a player in any sport can suffer. It can take the best part of a year to get back to playing and it can often take even longer to get back to pre-injury speed.

That makes what Setanta O hAilpin did this weekend even more impressive. The former Cork GAA star did his ACL on May 6, 2012 in his first game for new club Greater Western Sydney and after battling back to fitness, he played his second game for his new club at the weekend.

So, how did he do? As they might say at the MCG ‘bloody great mate’. The big forward scored five goals agaisnt Melbourne and while he, understandably, faded in the final stages it was a hell of a way to announce your return to the AFL.

All five goals are below and it is a clear from the video that the 30-year-old really enjoyed it too.

His beard is pretty impressive too.

Hat-tip to RTEGAA for the video.
