Video: St. Brigid’s have released their All-Ireland Final song well in time for Paddy’s Day

Nearly every county has at least one and normally a number of songs penned in their honour ahead of an All-Ireland Final and now it seems as if they’re doing it for the clubs too. Here’s St. Brigid’s effort.

The battle on the pitch is yet to take place, but St. Brigid's of Roscommon already have the upper hand over Ballymun in terms of the musical battle ahead of the All-Ireland club football final... by virtue of the simple fact that they have an All-Ireland final song and Ballymun don’t. At least not yet anyway, but we’re sure some talented and creative genius from the North Dublin direction will right that wrong in the coming weeks.

Doing their best to gee up their troops ahead of the big one on Paddy’s Day, the lads behind the song took the classic motivational hit ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and added a few lyrics of their own, such as ‘Ballymun, feel the pain as we hit you like a train’, words which are bound to have the Dublin champions quaking in their boots ahead of the Croke Park encounter.

‘Jimmy’s winning matches’ has set a bar that, if we're honest, ‘Eye on the Final’ doesn’t quite reach, but it’s a damn sight better than some of the GAA-related efforts we’ve heard in recent years, isn’t that right Mike Denver?
