You are unlikely to see a more dramatic buzzer beating shot in a long, long time and further proof it’s never over until it’s over.

You can’t beat title deciding games for a bit of tension and drama, but this New York school's basketball game made Sergio Aguero’s title winning goal for Manchester City last year look meek by comparison.
Sunday’s championship game between New Rochelle High and Mount Vernon High had just 2.9 seconds remaining, with New Rochelle holding possession at the far end of the court and trailing by two points.
Khalil Edney, who happens to be the school’s quarterback, was given the task of flinging the ball down court to salvage the game. However possession was coughed up and Mount Vernon gathered the ball and seemed to be set to win 60-58.
However, their attempts to play down the little that was left on the clock backfired and somehow Edney managed to get the ball back and get his shot off with 0.1 to play.
A sensational end to the game that saw New Rochelle advance to the regional semi-finals at the expense of a shell-shocked Mount Vernon.
