Noel King’s post-match interview last night caused quite a stir last night and the RTE panel were quick to add their tuppence worth.
Tony O’Donoghue found that the interim Ireland manager didn’t like his line of questioning last night, particularly in relation to strikers
Anthony Stokes and Kevin Doyle playing out of position to accommodate the team.
King’s reaction, plus his dismissive comments of the RTE panel after the Germany game meant it was a red rag to a bull for Eamon Dunphy in particular who took serious umbrage with King’s behaviour, ironically labelling the manager a “bully” while barely letting host Darragh Maloney speak at times.
John Giles felt King was “immature” and Richie Sadlier added he was “out of his depth”, but once again there was nothing held back in studio.
