Video: Tony Parker’s buzzer-beater last night was just a bit dramatic

The NBA Finals rarely disappoint in terms of drama and Game One of this year’s contest between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat was no different.

With LeBron James in such scintillating form going into the series, the Miami Heat have been widely tipped to retain their NBA title but they’ll have to come from behind to do so having lost to the San Antonio Spurs in Game One in Miami last night.

The Spurs won out on a scoreline of 92-88 after a buzzer-beater from Tony Parker that was both ridiculous and brilliant in equal measure. The Spurs’ number nine seemingly did his best to trip himself up before regaining his composure and keeping the ball alive while on his knees before rising in the shadow of LeBron and nailing the shot right on the buzzer.

“Tony Parker did everything wrong and did everything right in the same possession,” Le Bron said afterwards. “That was the longest 24 seconds that I’ve been a part of.”

It’s hard to argue with The King’s assessment. Bring on game two on Sunday.
