Remember former Portsmouth and Burnley player David Nugent? Well he just scored this very FIFA-esque goal for Leicester City. Wow.
David Nugent was coveted by a host of Premier League clubs once upon a time, but he has disappeared off the radar in recent seasons plying his trade down in the championship. Against Walsall in a pre-season friendly yesterday, he scored this beautiful outside of the boot curler from outside the box.
Combined with scoring great goals, his scoring record for England is very impressive and he has scored in every appearance he has made for the senior national side, racking up a total of one goal.
Nugent will appear in the top flight again this season sporting the Leicester City colours and we hope to see many more goals like this from him… even though we think it’s unlikely.
