Former Liverpool defender and captain of the Danish national team, Daniel Agger, managed to knock out one of his Danish team-mates last night by hammering the ball square into his face.

Agger, under a bit of pressure playing for Denmark against Portugal last night, took no prisoners whatsoever with his attempted Row Z clearance and absolutely cleaned Nicolai Boilesen out of it. The Ajax defender caught the ball full force into the chops and went down like a boxer on the receiving end of a hay-maker.

Thankfully, the defender recovered, but Denmark suffered late heartbreak when some fellah called Cristiano Ronaldo did a John O’Shea (that’s what we’re calling it now) and scored deep into injury time to secure Portugal a 1-0 win.
