We didn’t think Brazil would have it all their own way tonight in their World Cup opener agianst Brazil but we didn’t expect this. After just 11 minutes, the Brazilian defence failed to deal with and Olic cross and Real Madrid’s Marcelo poked the ball into his own net.
The Arena de Sao Paulo fell very quiet as the crowd, like the rest of us. were stunned.
Update: The Croatian commentary on the goal is superb. No idea what they are saying, of course, but the level of emotion is clear.
