Celtic wrapped up the SPL title with ease tonight, beating Partick Thistle 5-1 at Firhill. We hope this fan recovered his dignity to join in the fun.
As expected, Celtic were crowned SPL champions for 2013/14 tonight. A third league title in a row came after 31 games of the season, a campaign in which they won 27 of those matches.
They were never in danger of losing to Partick, especially once Anthony Stokes put them ahead in the third minute. Goals by Liam Henderson, Stefan Johansen, a second by Stokes and a final one by Kris Commons ensured another big win and a 45th Scottish title.
But the funniest moment of a night of celebration for Celtic came after a Leigh Griffiths goal was ruled out for offside. In the brief post-goal celebrations, one Celtic fan fell through a security gate and blundered into an advertising display.
Hopefully the joy of title success will take the edge off any embarrassment he might be feeling.
