Eyebrows have been raised at the inclusion of Paddy Jackson in the Ireland team for Sunday and we have no doubt Ronan O’Gara will be hugely disappointed. Probably his family members too.
By Declan Whooley
Last night rumours circulated that the Ulster out-half was to get the nod in the number 10 jersey and that was confirmed at today's press conference at Carton House. With Luke Marshall also set to make his first Test start against Scotland , there is growing excitement at the injection of youth into the starting XV.
We have no doubt that O’Gara himself will not share that sentiment, and a photo from the assembled media at Carton House would indicate that he isn’t the only one.
In and amongst the media posse was one kid in the front row, with Cork radio station Red FM drawing our attention to his hand gesture. While in all likelihood it is an innocent moment caught on camera, they pose the question as to whether O’Gara’s son made it into the presser?

The Munster out-half is known for his passion and honesty, so it would be fitting if the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
However considering that his eldest son Rua isn’t even five it can’t actually be him unless they are feeding him Miracle Grow down in Cork.
