We have a release date for Christopher Nolan’s new flick Interstellar

It’s still a while away but at least we now know when Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar will hit the cinema.

As hit makers go, Christopher Nolan has to be one of the best, if not the best, director working in Hollywood today.

From Memento to the Batman Trilogy to Inception, Nolan makes smart, enjoyable, blockbusters that use bucket loads of effects but still remember to tell a story. It’s worth noting because it’s a rare skill these days.

Anyway, while we all wait for the Nolan produced Superman movie Man of Steel to be released this summer, we finally have news of the next film that Nolan will helm.

Called Interstellar it’s a time travel movie that Steven Spielberg was linked to for many years. In January it was announced that Nolan was taking over the project, though Spielberg may remain involved in some fashion.

A joint Paramount and Warner Bros project, they told us today that the release date for the movie will be November 7 next year.

So we will have to wait 20 months but with the press release saying ‘The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding,' we’re already intrigued.
