Have you noticed how Channel 4 are pronouncing The Simpsons wrong? No, you are not going mad.
It seems that the Channel 4 continuity announcers are trying to liven up their day by deliberately mispronouncing the name of everyone’s favourite cartoon family.
It is suspected that some poor announcer accidentally got the name wrong at some stage near the end of last year and now all of them have joined in as a little in joke.
Some kindly soul has compiled the best of them on YouTube. Our favourite is “double Dimpsons” but we will definitely be listening out for more now.
