Indie rockers Blur will play Kilmainham this summer.

For the first time in four years, Blur will play a gig in Dublin in the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) in Kilmainham. The gig is set for Thursday, August 1st according to the Irish Times.

The Tickets go on sale this Thursday, March 7th on Ticketmaster and will be priced at €62.50. Blur were formed in London in 1989 by lead singer Damon Albarn along with guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. They were originally called Seymour and took a hiatus in 2003, reforming in 2008.
Blur won the Best Live Act at the Q Awards in 2012, and have won Grammys, Brits, NME and Ivor Novellos awards in the past 20 years. The band performed at the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympic Games and were honoured last year for their Outstanding Contribution to British Music at the Brit awards.
