“Does this make you do poos?”
It doesn’t have to be your drink of choice but a lot of us are very fond of a pint of the black stuff (or ruby red if you’re going to be precise about it).
We call tasting Guinness for the first time a defining moment because regardless of whether you swallow gulps of Guinness like it’s water or if you had one sip and said “never again”, you will never forget how that first taste felt.
In this video created by Facts, a handful of Irish people are given the task of sampling different types of the drink from a pint straight from the tap, to a can to some lesser known bottles.
It starts with one of the people suggesting that it is “an old man’s drink” and every expert Guinness drinker will tell you that the hint to knowing whether a pint is going to be nice or not is to see whether rings from the head form all the way around the glass as you drink it.
Also, a fun game to play when you’re out with your mates is with your first mouthful, try and get the head to rest in between the harp logo and Guinness sign.
Surprisingly, one of the Guinness virgins suggested that the can was nicer than the pint but in saying that, she didn’t seem very fond of either.
They also work their way through Dublin Porter, West Indies Porter, Rye Pale Ale and Golden Ale bottles of Guinness.
