There's nothing more embarrassing than getting caught in an unprofessional light, especially when you're presenting the country's main nightly news.
You have to feel sorry for poor awl Aengus Mac Grianna, as it’s not the first time that we’ve seen the RTÉ News reader slipping up on live TV. Previously, we’ve seen Aengus making a balls of the moon landing anniversary and getting a little bit tongue tied with Roman Abramovich’s name.
However, last night’s blunder was that little bit more embarrassing.
Someone obviously forgot to tell Aengus that the show was going live at any second, so he decided to stick a bit of slap on to make sure he was looking his best. However, as soon as it hit 10 O’clock the cameras went live, catching Aengus in the act.
You can tell someone eventually gets into his ear telling him that he was being recorded and his shocked, ‘What?!’ and blank stare says it all.
Hat tip to everyone who sent the video our way (there were a lot of you).
