A sign of the times.
Barcelona beat Real Madrid 4-0 in the Santiago Bernabeu stadium earlier on this evening, but the game took place against a backdrop of tension that goes far beyond what you’d expect at a football game.
After last week’s Paris attacks targeted locations near France’s Stade de France, there has been increased security throughout Europe. This was palpable at today’s El Clásico clash.

As you can see, police lined the streets and some of them were carrying heavy weaponry in case any threat of terror was brought to bear upon the city of Madrid. Luckily, there were no reports of anything untoward during the game.
