France take on Iceland in the Euro 2016 quarter-final on Sunday night.
A controlled explosion took place close to the Stade de France hours before the Euro 2016 quarter-final between France and Iceland on Sunday evening.
Paul Hayward, a journalist with The Telegraph, posted on Twitter that a controlled explosion took place shortly after 5.30pm local time.
Controlled explosion near the Stade de France 5.32pm Paris time. Loud enough to sound like an uncontrolled one.

Fans on their way to the game reported hearing a loud bang and, according to the Daily Mail, were told they could not continue because of a security scare.

News of the controlled explosion in the city follows on from a stampede in the Paris fanzone on Saturday night after a firecracker went off and caused mayhem during the Germany v Italy game.
