The alerts were reportedly radioed into air traffic control from the aircraft.
Bomb alerts were reportedly issued on two passenger planes that arrived into Brussels Airport this evening.
Belgian broadcaster VRT is reporting that the alerts were reportedly radioed from the aircraft to air traffic control and federal prosecutors are said to be taking the threats very seriously.
A Belgian journalist on board a SAS Airlines flight from Oslo tweeted to say that a pilot had entered the cabin 20 minutes before the plane was due to land to say there was a bomb on the plane.

He subsequently posted a tweet saying that the plane had landed, that he and his fellow passengers had left the plane safely and that they were in the Arrivals hall at Brussels Airport.
Passagiers bij de gate op hoogte gebracht en 10 minuten moeten wachten in vliegtuig. Nu eruit en in aankomsthal @BrusselsAirport

The second flight from which the bomb alert was issued is also believed to have landed safely.
News of the bomb alerts in Brussels comes after a number of bombings at the airport and in the city earlier this year which claimed the lives of 32 people.
