Robbie Keane will make his final Republic of Ireland appearance against Oman in a friendly on 31 October.
Speculation was rife that Keane would call it a day after Euro 2016 and he confirmed the news on Wednesday evening.

There are no new faces in the squad, with only Shay Given retiring from the group that travelled to France in the summer.
Marc Wilson, Harry Arter, Paul McShane, David Forde, Alex Pearce and Callum O’Dowda are all named, but there is no place for Kevin Doyle.
