This woman has become an emblem of hope and dogged stubbornness to the entire nation.
Vera Twomey has arrived in Dublin, and people are very, very happy to see her.
We’ve written extensively about Vera’s walk from Cork to the Dáil in Dublin here, where she hopes to meet Minister for Health Simon Harris and demand access to medicinal cannabis for her sick daughter Ava.
As she arrived in Dublin early on Tuesday afternoon, Ruairí McKiernan shared this video of schoolchildren in Inchicore cheering and car horns beeping as a genuine hero passed by.
We hope to bring you more from Vera as she arrives in Dublin later on Tuesday.
