A woman has died in Wexford following a road traffic collision

Very sad news.

Gardaí in Wexford are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Monday.

The single vehicle collision occurred in the car park of a supermarket on Trinity Street, Wexford around 1.50pm on Monday afternoon.

A 91-year-old female was driving the car and was seriously injured when the car she was driving hit a tree.

She was removed to Wexford General Hospital where she later passed away.

She was the sole occupant of the car.
