Were you paying attention during Junior Cert Science?
It might be a few years since you’ve opened up a science book, but when did you last put your knowledge to the test? Even if you weren’t paying much attention at the time, you’d be surprised how much of it sticks with you.
Then again, you might well have spent your secondary school days either staring out the window or struggling to stay awake. If that was the case, maybe blow the dust off your old books and come back to us.
Should you get more than 12, please don’t use this quiz on your CV as proof that you’re a scientist. People have tried to do that before, and they got found out fairly quickly…
Science Week 2018
For all you budding scientists out there, Science Week 2018 is taking place across Ireland from Sunday, 11 November. The idea is to give people a chance to ask the experts (who’d probably do alright in this quiz) about how science can help their everyday lives.
Events will continue throughout the week until Sunday, 18 November, with people being told to #StopAndAsk. You’ll be able to talk to experts in just about every field of science about whatever is on your mind.
To take your knowledge from Junior Cert Science to the next level, get involved in Science Week 2018. There will be 12 regional science festivals all over Ireland, with guests from the worlds of entertainment and science alike. Keep up to date on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see what’s going on near you.
