Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a man in his 20s that took place in Kilcormac, County Offaly on Saturday 15 December.
An ambulance was called to Munny in Kilcormac at approximately 6pm on Saturday evening following a report of a man being discovered with serious injuries to his head and person.
He was subsequently taken to Tullamore General Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Kilcormac area between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday who may have seen anything suspicious.
