The arrests relate to an incident that took place in July.
Four male teenagers have been arrested by Gardaí investigating a suspicious fire that took place at a house in Rathmullen Park in Drogheda, Louth on Wednesday 3 July.
One of the occupants of the house was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation, while a second individual escaped unharmed.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.10am on the morning of 3 July, with extensive damage caused to both the interior and exterior of the house.
A person wearing dark clothing was seen running from the area at the time.
The four teenagers in question were arrested this morning – Tuesday 27 August – during a planned operation in Drogheda.
They are currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Drogheda Garda Station.
The investigation is ongoing.
