Welcome back once again to JOE’s trailer column, where we round up the best teasers released in the world of film and TV in the past seven days.

Avatar: The Way of Water

Having originally only played in cinemas ahead of screenings of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the first teaser for the sequel to 2009’s Avatar hit the web this week.
Given how enormously successful the first film was and how long it has taken its follow-up to get made, The Way of Water has become a source of fascination for movie lovers.
That said, the sequel looks like it will be worth the wait with the teaser boasting groundbreaking special effects, epic visuals and a gorgeous sweeping score.
Avatar: The Way of Water is out in cinemas in Ireland on 16 December.
Elvis

We wrote about the trailer for Elvis already previously, but a clip from it has been recently released – letting viewers know a little bit more about what they can expect from the biopic.
The footage sees the legendary singer (played by Austin Butler) performing on stage early in his career, during which he dazzles the crowd and attracts the attention of his future manager Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks).
Co-written and directed by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet), Elvis will be released in Irish cinemas on 24 June.
Hustle

Following his recent great performances in The Meyerowitz Stories and Uncut Gems, Adam Sandler has taken on another dramatic role in this Netflix sports movie.
Hustle sees the Sandman play a down on his luck basketball scout who discovers a once-in-a-lifetime player abroad and takes it upon himself to bring the potential star to the US.
Produced by LeBron James, the film will be released on the streamer on 8 June.
Resurrection

This horror-thriller stars Rebecca Hall as a woman whose orderly life is thrown into disarray when a man (Tim Roth) from her past returns.
Boasting an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes following its Sundance premiere this year, Resurrection has one of the most enigmatic and tense trailers we have seen in a long time.
It is out in the US on 5 August so you can expect an Irish release sometime after.
Cha Cha Real Smooth

This comedy-drama stars its writer-director Cooper Raiff (the excellent coming-of-age drama Freshman Year) as a Bar Mitzvah party host.
Through his job, he winds up striking up a friendship with a mother (Dakota Johnson) and her autistic daughter (Vanessa Burghardt).
Another movie that premiered at Sundance to rave reviews, Cha Cha Real Smooth is set to be released on Apple TV+ on 17 June.
The Princess

Following the release of the Oscar-nominated drama Spencer last year, this documentary is another film about Princess Diana – this time telling her story exclusively through contemporaneous archival footage.
“Turning the camera back on ourselves, the film illuminates the profound impact she had and how the public’s attitude to the monarchy was, and still is, shaped by these events,” the plot synopsis for The Princess reads.
From the producers of such acclaimed documentaries as Man on Wire and Searching for Sugar Man, The Princess will be in Irish cinemas for one night only on 30 June.
Resident Evil

Last but not least, we have Netflix’s TV adaptation of the popular video game series Resident Evil.
Told in two timelines, the show centres on Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska, Charlie’s Angels), a woman fighting for survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty humans and animals, while being haunted by her past in New Raccoon City.
Comprising of eight episodes, it will premiere on the streamer on 14 July.
