The island of Ireland is home to so many incredible community organisations, offering valuable mentorship and guidance for young people, but despite the vital support these groups provide, they’re often under-resourced and under-funded.
The Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is back for another year, providing incredible funding opportunities to some seriously empowering programmes.
Since it began in 2011, the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund has awarded more than €1.5 million to 164 non-profit organisations working in areas, including education, employability, community, and environmental projects all aimed at young people between the ages of 16-25. This year, an all-island fund of €200,000 is available, and applications are now open.
The theme of this year’s fund is Empowering Young People Through Learning and Sustainable Development, and groups working in this area are encouraged to apply.
Here’s what the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is looking for this year.
Empowering Learning
If your work empowers young people who may otherwise be at risk of early school leaving or low education attainment, then the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is awaiting your application. Illustrate how your organisation engages young people to access supportive interventions that will empower and equip them to become active members of their communities by successfully transitioning into skills-based opportunities, engaging in mentorship opportunities or further learning and employment opportunities.
In particular, the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is interested in programmes that provide education support, upskilling opportunities and personal development opportunities.
Empowering Sustainable Development
The Coca-Cola Thank You Fund is seeking applications from groups that create inclusive communities through projects designed to empower young people to address the theme of sustainability in their lives. The Fund is particularly interested in hearing from community groups that equip individuals, SMEs or communities to develop solutions to the climate crisis, projects that support a journey towards a circular economy and projects that support the reduction of food waste.

Grants between €8,000 and €15,000 are up for grabs and organisations applying for funding will be asked to submit a detailed budget breakdown of expenditure for the total funds requested.
