As we inch closer to the bank holiday, we’re on the hunt for some great activities and events to make the most of our time off.
Many consider the May bank holiday to be the start of a sunnier season here in Ireland, and if you plan on soft-launching summer by hitting up one of Dublin’s most scenic coastal towns, we’ve got just the event for you.
On Sunday, May 5th, the folks from Rockshore will be hosting Rockshore Après Sea in The White Sands Hotel, and, as its name suggests, the experience is a fitting way to cap off a day spent on the coast.

The event runs from 4pm-8pm, and the lineup boasts some pretty huge names, including a DJ set from Rudimental, one of the UK’s most successful dance acts.
They’ll be joined by BBC Radio 1 DJ Jaguar, who was named by Mixmag as one of 2023’s breakthrough DJs.
Fans can also look forward to catching RTE 2FM’s dance DJ Dave Treacy, who will be bringing his sublime music taste to Portmarnock. Indeed, with these world class DJs on the decks, you can rest assured that the soundtrack to your bank holiday weekend will be top notch.

Admission costs €15 and all sales go towards Flossie & The Beach Cleaners, an incredible organisation that works to support the safeguarding of Ireland’s coasts through national beach clean-ups.
