RTÉ launch new dating show called… Love in Isolation

Rudi Kinsella

Love in Isolation

Dating has been made significantly more difficult thanks to the lockdown.

You know, what with the staying indoors and all.

So we have a lot of sympathy for anyone who has been looking for a partner during these unprecedented times, especially with the whole social distancing thing.

Enter RTÉ’s new dating show, Love in Isolation

That’s the brand new RTÉ Player Original series that matches daters online to find out if opposites do attract, and whether the online dating game is as difficult as it seems.

Recorded in the homes of participants via video chat, the daters have been frustrated by lockdown and can’t wait to get socialising again, so they have jumped at the chance to dress up, have a drink and even light a candle or two.

As each date is set a challenge, audiences will discover some quirky talents and daters’ secret passions that just might spark a match. Sounds fun.

Plus, it might start a new trend of video dating, instead of actually going out.

At least there’s no awkward conversation at the end about who pays for the bill…

The show will start on 9 June on the RTÉ Player.
