Hillary Clinton was addressing the graduating class of her alma matter, Wellesley College, when she brought up the 1969 graduation speech she made in front of the same podium.
In it, she spoke of how her graduating class at the time was furious with the running of the country, which was of course Richard Nixon.
However, how she described the then President, well... it doesn't take much to find some shaded connections she was attempting to make:
"[This was] a man whose presidency would eventually end in disgrace with his impeachment for obstruction of justice. After firing the person running the investigation into him at the Department of Justice."
"We got through that tumultuous time, and once again we began to thrive."
Subtle.
However, far less subtle was Clinton's opinion on Trump's newly announced budgetary plans for the country:
“It grossly under-funds public education, mental health, and efforts even to combat the opioid epidemic. It puts the future of our nation and our world at risk. [It is] shrouded in a trillion-dollar mathematical lie.”
“Let’s call it what it is: a con. They don’t even try to hide it."
