Applegreen has announced plans to expand across the country with six new services stations that will see 360 permanent jobs being created in Ireland.

The €30m investment will also see a further 250 temporary jobs being created during construction of the six new service stations over the next two years.

The first of the six new sites was officially opened today at Junction 14 on the M11 in Wicklow (pictured above).

According to Applegreen, which is owned by Petrogas Global – an Irish-owned company – the new Wicklow service station will be accessible by an average of 35,000 motorists per day.

There are currently another three stations under construction in Birdhill, Co Tipperary, Swords, Co Dublin, and Lemybrien, Co Waterford.
